The Architecture of Space
The Architecture of Space deals with disciplines such as urban developments and land-use planning, radical infrastructure and planning projects (like the high-speed railway lines and the expansion of Schiphol Airport), increasing of the green spaces in the city, emergence of market forces as a major factor in spatial planning.
Aesthetics in Government Building and Constructions
Aesthetics should be emphasized more strongly in planning and construction cases. This was decided by the Storting by amendments to the Planning and Building Act (pbl) related to aesthetics in May 1995.
This supervisor will first and foremost give case managers in municipalities, county councils and state sector authorities an overview of tools to safeguard aesthetic considerations in planning and construction cases. It can also be useful for private builders.
The supervisor will hopefully inspire municipalities, county councils and other actors to develop their own planning and building tools for ensuring aesthetic
UK Architects Act
The Architects Act 1997 is an Act of Parliament that consolidates the originating and amending Acts relating to the registration of architects. The act, which came into force in July 1997, consolidated the Architects (Registration) Act 1931 (which had required the Register of Architects to be established), and the changes enacted in Part III of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.
